FSC-certified paper
No path, fence or distant view interrupts this garden. Klimt frames it so closely that you’re standing among the flowers: orange blooms, white daisies, purple asters and a handful of red poppies, all set against blue-green.
Painted in his signature square format, each flower becomes a little patch of colour. From close by, the scene feels almost abstract. Take a step back and the flower bed comes into focus, evoking those late summer days when the garden seems to grow faster than you can keep on top of it.
One of the happiest works in our Klimt poster range, it sits comfortably in a kitchen, bedroom or light-filled hallway, whether in a London flat or a country home. Choose your size, and add a frame if you wish.
Klimt’s gardens are worlds apart from his golden portraits. Read our article on Klimt to see how both sides of his work came together in Vienna around 1900.
