Two blocks stand side by side, gazing up at the sky.

From below, the residential towers appear to tilt towards one another. Their façades combine balconies, plain panels and bands of windows, all showing a little wear from the years. Above, a bright sky scattered with fluffy clouds brings a much lighter feel.

The contrast between the weighty concrete and the airy, almost cheerful sky catches our eye. It suggests these buildings were created with an optimistic vision: homes for thousands of families, with views across the city.

Its landscape format sits well above a sofa or bed. A considered balance of deep greys below and soft whites above helps it complement a range of interiors, from city flats to family homes across the UK. The poster comes in several sizes.

Discover more towers and housing estates in our brutalist architecture prints. To find out how these blocks shifted from symbols of the future to being rejected, then rediscovered, explore the story of brutalism.
