Two rounded towers stand together, reminiscent of a pair of lighthouses.
Small tiles cover their curved corners, catching the light, while each tower is topped with a boxy, glazed balcony. Beneath, rows of windows and loggias descend from floor to floor. The black sky behind throws the buildings into sharp relief.
There’s a distinctly graphic, almost poster-like feel to this image. Pale forms against a dark backdrop remain clear from a distance, while the repeated towers create a satisfying rhythm.
Late Soviet housing often used rounded corners and decorative cladding to soften its vast blocks. This lesser-known aspect of the story caught our attention, so we included it in our brutalist architecture print collection, with details that might feel familiar in cities across the UK.
The 4:5 format works well on a wall by your desk, in the bedroom or in a dining room. A range of sizes is available.
