A flight of steps climbs between two walls of giant sunflowers towards a house with a grey roof. Blue-and-white pots stand at the bottom, a small child in white walks down the path with a little dog, and a woman can just be seen higher up, among the flowers.
This is the garden of the house Monet rented at Vétheuil, painted in the summer of 1881. After the hard years there, it is an image of happiness and abundance. The painting is in the National Gallery of Art in Washington.
Sunny and generous, it is a joyful print for a living room, an entrance or a child's room. Our Monet prints and posters include the flower beds of the same garden. Our article on Claude Monet tells the story of the Vétheuil years. Several sizes.
