The Archangel: Techno-Byzantine Sci-Fi Poster

The Archangel emerges above a cavernous city, arms outstretched and cables fanning like metallic plumage. We shaped the figure as a totem, with polished armour, filigree panels and a cool chrome face. Behind it, a molten red-orange halo glows. Beneath, a shaft of light meets a yellow lake. The palette shifts from teal stone and graphite shadows to brass and ember tones. Quiet and solemn, with an uncanny edge. Wings are overrated; cables will do.

The composition draws on techno-baroque rhythms, with repeating motifs, layered towers and tall vertical lines that lead the eye from the figure’s crown to its reflection. It catches your attention from across the room, while tiny ornamental circuits reveal themselves up close. On the wall, it gives rooms a strong focal point while keeping their mood considered and calm. Picture charcoal paint, walnut, aged brass or raw concrete, as seen in many contemporary UK interiors. Pools of soft light bring out the halo’s glow.
