It looks as though someone stacked the floors without quite lining them up. In a way, that’s precisely what happened.
Each storey of this tower juts out in a slightly different direction, creating a facade of white slabs and dark glass. Some terraces are deep, while others are barely there. Set against a plain grey sky, the building takes on a sculptural quality, somewhere between Jenga and an abstract composition.
This is a more recent offshoot of brutalism. Concrete remains the material of choice and the geometry is still bold, but the overall feel is lighter. We’ve included it in our brutalist architecture prints for its fondness for weighty horizontal lines.
The landscape format works well in a living room or dining space, while the strong contrast remains clear from across the room. Available in a range of sizes.
Why do architects keep returning to these raw, chunky shapes? Our article explores why brutalism is back in favour.
