Dark fins stand in a line, like soldiers on parade beneath the clouds.
A run of tall, dark concrete fins descends diagonally across the frame, each topped with a small vent. Behind them, a bright sky filled with swirling clouds dominates the image. The contrast between the weighty, orderly fins and the airy, unsettled sky gives this photograph its striking character.
There’s a real sense of movement in the diagonal. It brings energy to an otherwise still structure and draws your eye towards the clouds.
This 4:5 poster adds a dramatic note to a living room, home office or stairwell, from a London terrace to a modern flat. It sits beautifully in a black frame and comes in several sizes.
Repetition and rhythm run through our brutalist architecture prints. To explore brutalism’s visual language in more depth, read our article about the movement.
