Monet Rouen Cathedral Prints Set of 4 – Morning to Gray Weather

The same Gothic façade, four different hours: Rouen Cathedral Façade and Tour d’Albane, Morning Effect, Rouen Cathedral, West Façade, Sunlight, Rouen Cathedral, the Portal, Sunlight and Rouen Cathedral, the Portal, Gray Weather. This set brings them together as 4 art prints, at 20% off the price of the four posters bought separately.

In 1892 and 1893, Monet rented rooms facing the west front of Rouen Cathedral and painted it more than thirty times. He worked on several canvases at once, moving from one to the next as the sun moved over the stone. Back in Giverny he reworked them all, and twenty were shown in Paris in 1895. Here we follow a day on the façade: the blue of early morning beside the Tour d’Albane, the cream and gold of full sunlight, the warm portal in the afternoon, and the cool grey of a cloudy day. Hung side by side or as a grid of four, the series shows exactly what Monet was after: not the building, but the light on it.
