Huge concrete cubes stacked like a child’s pile of building blocks.
These solid forms fit together and overlap, their surfaces bearing the vertical grain of the timber boards used to cast them. Light falls from the side, illuminating some faces while leaving others in deep shadow. Against the dark backdrop, the cubes stand out like a sculpture in a gallery.
There’s something compelling about this image’s simplicity and strength. It’s all volume, material and light: the essence of brutalism in a single frame.
The 4:5 format works well in a home office, living room or bedroom with a minimalist feel, from a city flat to a more spacious home. Its bold contrast makes it a natural focal point. Available in several sizes.
